10th Anniversary celebration of the U.N. Charter on the Rights of the Child with UNICEF, Elections Canada the National Film Board and the National Capital Commission.
Canadians from age 7-18 voted on what they thought was the most important
right to them in the Charter. Youth electoral observers from Belize, Mexico
and Zambia. Despite a campaign by members of the Reform Party claiming that
it compromised family values the children of Canada affirmed their commitment
by voting for the "Right to a Family". An interesting comment on
the state of Canadian families.
